Resident CPR Comment Helper Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
Resident CPR Comment Helper is an independent browser extension designed to assist users in completing the designated ACGME Common Program Requirements public comment survey.
Information accessed
The extension accesses content on the designated ACGME Qualtrics survey page solely as necessary to identify survey requirements, response options, comment fields, and survey navigation controls.
The extension may locally process survey selections and comment-field content in order to apply recommended responses, avoid overwriting existing responses, and provide the automation mode selected by the user.
Information not collected by the developer
The extension does not collect or transmit names, email addresses, demographic responses, survey responses, comments, browsing history, health information, authentication information, or financial information. The only persistent analytics identifier is a randomly generated browser-local UUID described below; it is not derived from a name, email address, device fingerprint, or survey content.
The extension does not use advertising, behavioral tracking, fingerprinting, or remote code. It does use limited anonymous usage analytics as described below.
Anonymous usage analytics
To understand whether the helper is working and whether residents are able to complete the survey, the extension sends only three event types: a helper survey session started, verified autofill completed, and verified survey completed.
After the user sees the analytics disclosure and continues, each analytics event contains a randomly generated browser-local client identifier, a randomly generated survey-session identifier, the extension version, the event type, and a server timestamp. These pseudonymous random identifiers are used only to avoid double-counting and calculate aggregate conversion rates. They are not derived from a name, email address, device fingerprint, survey response, or survey content.
The extension does not transmit demographic answers, requirement selections, comment text, credentials, browsing history, or the content of any survey response for analytics.
How information is used
Survey-page content is processed locally in the user's browser to provide the extension's stated functionality. Anonymous analytics events are used only to calculate aggregate counts such as unique helper users, successful autofills, completed surveys, and autofill-to-completion conversion.
Sharing and transfer
The developer does not sell or use analytics data for advertising or profiling. Anonymous usage events are sent through the Resident CPR Comment Helper Vercel backend and stored in a developer-controlled Neon database solely for aggregate usage reporting. Aggregate usage totals are available only through a password-protected developer dashboard. Survey responses submitted through the ACGME/Qualtrics survey are transmitted directly through that third-party survey service and are never copied into the analytics database.
Data retention
The developer does not retain survey content or personal information. Anonymous event records are retained for aggregate reporting for this public-comment project and may be deleted after the project concludes. Temporary extension state used to support survey navigation remains within the user's browser.
Limited Use
The extension's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information accessed by the extension is used only to provide its disclosed single-purpose functionality.
Third-party services
The ACGME survey and Qualtrics are separate third-party services and are governed by their own privacy practices. Resident CPR Comment Helper is not affiliated with or endorsed by ACGME.
Contact
Privacy questions may be directed to the developer using the contact information provided on the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
